Fireworks cancelled in Village of Elm Grove
ELM GROVE -- The extreme heat and dry conditions have canceled the fireworks display in the Village of Elm Grove. The fireworks display is rescheduled for Labor Day weekend.
Officials say the fireworks launch site is in close proximity to wooded and grassy areas of the village.
Additionally, the Village of Elm Grove, by order of Fire Chief William Selzer, has imposed a complete outdoor burning ban, to include all personal fireworks, such as sparklers, snakes and like combustibles.
This burning ban extends to all outdoor fire pits and outdoor fireplaces.
Outdoor charcoal and gas operated grills are not banned on private property; however, extreme caution is urged.
All outdoor cooking devices are banned from the Village Park.
