Firefighters called out to home on 48th Street twice in one day after fire rekindled
MILWAUKEE -- Firefighters with the Milwaukee Fire Department were called out to two fires that happened on N. 48th Street between Fiebrantz Avenue and Hope Avenue on Monday, January 18th.
The first fire occurred on Monday morning -- inside a one-and-a-half-story rear cottage.
The fire affected the first and second floors, but it is unclear where the fire started.
A firefighter suffered a slight hand injury battling this fire. The firefighter was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
On Monday evening, around 6:30 p.m., firefighters were called back out to the scene due to a rekindling of this fire.
The fire was extinguished.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
