Firefighters battle 2-alarm apartment fire on Milwaukee's east side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee firefighters battled a two-alarm fire on the city's east side late Saturday, April 20th.

The apartment building is located near Prospect and Brady.

Several ambulances were dispatched to the scene.  Several people may be displaced from their apartments.  Red Cross did appear on the scene.

Firefighters say one woman from the unit where the fire started was taken to the hospital.  They say she walked to the ambulance and is expected to be ok.

Firefighters say the cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
