Fights break out at Mount Pleasant bar, two taken into custody

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Police arrested two men after multiple fights broke out at a bar on Racine St. in the Village of Mount Pleasant early Sunday, August 16th.

Officers were dispatched to the bar around 2:15 a.m. It was reported there were four separate fights going on at the bar.

When the officers arrived, they found one person fighting with a Racine County Sheriff's Deputy. That person, a 29-year-old man from Racine, was pepper sprayed and taken into custody. He was identified as one of the main instigators in this incident.

Another 29-year-old Racine man was also taken into custody.

Mount Pleasant police were assisted in this incident by the Racine Police Department, Racine County Sheriff’s Office and the Wind Point Police Department.
