Evacuation at Harborside Academy, Reuther Central H.S. in Kenosha after threat found

KENOSHA -- A threat found at Harborside Academy on Wednesday, April 13th forced an evacuation of Harborside and Reuther Central High School, which share the same building.

Kenosha Unified School District officials say the threat was found in a girls bathroom at Harborside Academy -- a charter school serving grades 6-12.

Reuther High School, serving grades 9-12 and Harborside share the same building.

Around 12:30 p.m., students were evacuated from the building, and Kenosha police were called.

Students were outside for just under an hour, while police performed a sweep of the building. Nothing suspicious was found.

Once the building was cleared, students returned to class around 1:45 p.m.

Police are seeking the person responsible for the threat.
