Driver of semi tanker truck hurt when vehicle rolled in Kenosha County; diesel fuel spilled

KENOSHA COUNTY -- The driver of a semi tanker truck was hurt in a crash that happened in the 2500 block of 176th Avenue, County Trunk Highway D on Monday morning, November 21st.

It happened shortly before 9:00 a.m.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found a semi tanker truck hauling diesel fuel had been headed southbound on 176th Avenue when it left the roadway, crossed the northbound lanes and overturned in the east ditch line.

The semi tractor detached from the tanker trailer, and the tractor and trailer overturned -- blocking the roadway.

Diesel fuel spilled at the scene.

The Wisconsin State Patrol and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are assisting in the investigation.

The semi's driver was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

The roadway was closed for cleaning.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
