Dog rescued from ice not available for adoption yet
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Charley, the dog that was found stuck on a slab of ice on the Kinnickinnic River on Sunday evening, March 17th, will not be available for adoption Friday, March 29th due to a cold.
According to the Elmbrook Humane Society, a cold has delayed a scheduled surgery date for Charley. Officials says once Charley is neutered he will be available for adoption.
Charley was pulled from a piece of ice on the KK River on Sunday, March 17th. Once the dog was rescued, the quest to find its owner began. While the dog and its owner were reunited on Tuesday, March 19th — that reunion was short-lived.
Charley is a pug/miniature Bassett hound mix.
