DEVELOPING: ShotSpotter alerts police to shooting near 10th and Wright

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police were alerted to a shooting near 10th and Wright Streets on the city's north side -- courtesy of the ShotSpotter system.

The system detected gunfire around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24th. Officers responded to the scene but were unable to locate anyone who was injured.

About 30 minutes later a 14-year-old boy from Milwaukee presented himself at a hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  It is believed that the victim, who is not cooperating with investigators, was shot in the same area the gunfire was detected.

There are no suspects in custody.
