Developing: 16-year-old boy struck by gunfire near S. 28th & Mitchell

MILWAUKEE -- A 16-year-old boy is struck by gunfire near S. 28th and Mitchell Street in Milwaukee Friday afternoon, August 7th.

Police say another person was attempting to carry the victim after he was shot to a hospital but spotted an ambulance along the way in the 2400 block of W. Windlake Avenue.

The victim was transported by that ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Milwaukee police are now searching for a motive and suspects involved in this shooting.
