"Debris all over the place:" 911 calls released after EF-1 tornado in Village of Brandon



FOND DU LAC COUNTY -- 911 calls have been released after a tornado touched down in the Village of Brandon in Fond du Lac County on Friday, May 27th.

Caller: "One of the houses...a half to a quarter of the roof is ripped off."

Dispatcher: "OK, is there any other damage?"

Caller: "Just debris laying all over the place. Garbage cans flew all over the place."

The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down in the Village of Brandon.

Wind speeds reached up to 100 miles-per-hour and cut a path more than four miles long.

More than two dozen homes were damaged, but no one was hurt.

NWS officials say the tornado was on the ground for just under 20 minutes.
