Milwaukee police are conducting a death investigation Wednesday, June 23 along the Milwaukee River near Jefferson and Erie in the Third Ward.
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee police are conducting a death investigation Wednesday, June 23 along the Milwaukee River near Jefferson and Erie in the Historic Third Ward neighborhood.
Police say a body was discovered floating in the river. A 53-year-old man was recovered from the water and pronounced dead.
The cause of death is under investigation but does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office says an autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday.
