Crews respond to house fire near 45th & Lisbon

MILWAUKEE -- Crews responded to a fully-involved house fire on Milwaukee's northwest side early Friday morning.

Officials say the fire broke out around 4:10 a.m. at a house near 45th and Lisbon. The fire started on the first floor and spread to the second floor, which was a partially finished attic.

Officials say one female occupant was home when the fire broke out. Authorities say she was outside of the house before crews arrrived on the scene.

One firefighter sustained a minor burn on his knee -- he has been treated and released.

The estimated cost of damage to the building and contents is $50,000.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
