Couple robbed of $5,000 in parking lot of Grafton bank

GRAFTON (WITI) -- Grafton police are searching for a man who robbed a Sheboygan couple of $5,000 in the parking lot at the Grafton US Bank branch on Monday, April 15th.

The couple reportedly drove from Sheboygan to Grafton to cash a Federal Income Tax check valued at $5,000. The woman made arrangements with an acquaintance to meet her at the US Bank parking lot to pay her rent.

The victim cashed the check around 5 p.m. When he walked outside, the suspect pulled a handgun from his sweatshirt and demanded the money. The suspect along with the acquaintance of the woman, then left the area driving what was described as a green  Oldsmobile SUV with silver rims.

The suspect is described as a male, black, 20-23 years of age, 5’10”, thin build, light-skinned, wearing a red sweatshirt and blue jeans. The gun is described as a black semi automatic pistol similar to a Glock.
