Construction begins on new Walmart store in Brown Deer

BROWN DEER (WITI) -- Walmart began development of its new North Shore store, slated to open in Brown Deer in summer 2014.

The new Walmart, located at 6140 West Brown Deer Road, will be approximately 140,000 square-feet, offering customers a convenient, one-stop shop for their grocery and general merchandise needs.

The store will feature general merchandise, including apparel, electronics, toys, sporting goods, and lawn and garden items as well as a full line of groceries, including fresh produce, bakery, deli and meat, and dairy products.

The store is expected to generate roughly 300 full-time and part-time jobs.
