BOULDER (WITI) -- There have been so many ways Colorado flood victims have dealt with the flooding disaster -- and FOX6's Jeremy Ross caught up with a man in Denver who found comfort in a set of keys.
There can be a lot of pressure inside any law firm. Boulder Attorney Mark Changaris understands the challenges of winning or losing a case -- but he faced additional stress when he lost most of his possessions in the recent flooding.
A day after leaving his home because of safety concerns, he returned to pack up what was left of his belongings.
The stress of finding his home and possessions destroyed could have led to anger, but instead it moved him to take to a set of piano keys.
"I couldn't resist the urge to play it. It's legs are covered in mud, it's splattered," Changaris said.
That's when Changaris began to play the song "Mad World." The video has since gone viral.
Changaris says he has played the piano off and on for about 15 years -- but it is not the first time he has used music to decompress.
"A lot of times I would just sit and bang on the piano. It's a release to sit down and play and let the music bounce off the walls," Changaris said.
Changaris says things will get better.
"This too will pass. In the grand scheme of things, the crisis at the moment won't overtake you. You will survive," Changaris said.
