City of Milwaukee files appeal with state's Public Service Commission on downtown streetcar
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The city of Milwaukee has filed an appeal with the state's Public Service Commission to reconsider a ruling involving the downtown streetcar project.
The Public Service Commission ruled that Milwaukee cannot require private utility companies such as We Energies or AT&T to pay to move their underground lines for the streetcar.
The current streetcar budget doesn't include any money for that work.
The work could cost as much as $20 million.
