Patrons of Cedarburg Creek Farm in Cedarburg took advantage of nice weather today to pick pumpkins.
CEDARBURG, Wis. - With prime weather in the area, many folks took advantage of the sunshine to do some pumpkin picking Saturday at Cedarburg Creek Farm.

It is an annual activity Cooper Devenport said he loves doing with his family. As they took their time looking through the farm, they searched for the best pumpkins to take home.

"We really like it here. This is our second time here. We usually drive really far, but this is our first time doing it at home in Ozaukee County," Devenport said.
That was especially true when the weather cooperated – a factor Jennifer Piller said made her birthday tradition even more enjoyable.
"We almost always come here," Piller said. "We get our pumpkins every year, and it's fun when it's really nice out like today."

Cedarburg Creek Farm owner Robert Hartwig said this year his farm did not grow a huge load of pumpkins due to weather playing a factor during the year. But he assured visitors he was not worried anyone would leave empty-handed.

"There's not as many pumpkins out there, but we have plenty of acres of pumpkins here, so we won't run out," Hartwig said.

The owner of the pumpkin farm said as it gets closer to Halloween, more traffic from visitors will pick up. Those planning to make a stop at any pumpkin farm should make sure to do it with enough time.
