Caught on camera: Backpack stolen from vehicle while driver pumps gas, suspects sought

MENOMONEE FALLS -- Menomonee Falls police are investigating a theft from a vehicle that happened Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the Kwik Trip on Silver Spring Dr. It happened around 6:30 a.m.

According to police, an unknown male (Suspect #3) exited a black Ford Fusion, bearing a temporary Wisconsin license plate that did not return to the listed vehicle, and entered the victim's vehicle through the front passenger door.

The suspect removed a backpack from the front passenger seat, and exited through the front driver's side door.

The backpack contained a laptop, cell phone, keys, books, notebook and sunglasses.

This theft occurred while the victim was pumping gas into the vehicle.

Suspect #1 (Front Passenger)



Police say the victim confronted the suspect, but was unable to catch him before he re-entered the Ford Fusion and fled eastbound onto Silver Spring Dr.

Two other occupants were observed in the vehicle.
