Car cut in half when it slams into pole in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD -- A 23-year-old Brookfield man is recovering from injuries after crashing his car into a pole near Bluemound and Calhoun Roads early Saturday morning, October 13th.

FOX6 News learned Town of Brookfield police initiated a traffic stop for the driver who was apparently speeding. Before the stop could be made, the driver of the speeding vehicle crashed into a pole, ripping the car in two.

The cause of the crash is due to the loss of control at a high rate of speed. However, police are also investigating if alcohol was involved.
