BUSTED! Suspect in fatal hit-and-run near 4th and National arrested in... Texas

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred near 4th and National on Sunday, November 23rd has been arrested.

The suspect, a 29-year-old Racine man, was arrested on Tuesday, November 25th in Laredo, Texas. Milwaukee police say he was apparently trying to cross the border into Mexico.

The suspect is being held on a probation warrant while awaiting extradition.

The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident has been recovered in Racine.

The hit-and-run happened near 4th and National just after 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 23rd. The 34-year-old victim in this case died on Monday afternoon.
