Brookfield PD: Waukesha State Bank on W. Capitol Drive robbed, man on the run

Waukesha State Bank robbery suspect



BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield police are investigating a robbery at the Waukesha State Bank on W. Capitol Drive on Wednesday morning, Sept. 25.

Officials said a man between 30 and 40 years old entered the bank shortly after 11 a.m., implied he had a weapon, and demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money -- and fled west from the bank.

Brookfield police described him as white, standing approximately 6' tall. He was wearing a blue and white plaid shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, a light-colored Green Bay Packers hat and black mask which disguised the lower half of his face. He was wearing gloves and no weapon was displayed.

Officials said the area around the bank was contained and a search for the man was conducted, to include the utilization of a police K-9.
