Beaver Dam man pulled from water after driving ATV into open water

DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials on Saturday, December 14th made a water rescue on Beaver Dam Lake in the Town of Trenton.

Sheriff's officials responded to the scene around 2:45 a.m. and were able to locate a male subject approximately 300 yards north of the Hickory Point Road landing.

Sheriff's officials say the man had driven his four-wheel ATV off the ice and into open water.

The ATV was submerged and the man was standing on the ATV in an attempt to keep his head above water.

The driver of the ATV, 32-year-old Raymond Cody of Beaver Dam was arrested for operating  an ATV while intoxicated.

A roped floatation device was used to pull Cody from the water, and he was taken to the hospital.
