Attention drivers: Changes coming to I-94 ramps in Racine County as part of WIS 20 project
RACINE COUNTY (WITI) -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is scheduled to conduct a traffic switch and begin short-term and long-term closures as part of the WIS 20 Interchange Reconstruction Project.
Friday, March 20 (early morning)
I-94 East (SB) exit ramp to WIS 20 is scheduled to close long-term and is scheduled to reopen mid-summer.
Friday, March 20 (evening)
I-94 East (SB) traffic is scheduled to be switched onto I-94 West (northbound).
I-94 East (SB) entrance ramp from WIS 20 is scheduled to close long-term and is scheduled to reopen late-fall.
Saturday, March 21 (evening)
I-94 East (SB) Bridge over WIS 20 is scheduled to be demolished. The demolition will require overnight full closure of WIS 20 under I-94. WIS 20 under I-94 is scheduled to close overnight from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Additional exit and entrance ramp closures should be expected during the I-94 East (SB) bridge demolition.
Monday, March 23
WIS 20 (eastbound) under I-94 will be reduced to one lane from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Tuesday, March 24
WIS 20 (westbound) under I-94 will be reduced to one lane from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
