ARRESTED: Teen in custody in connection with at least five burglaries in Waukesha

WAUKESHA (WITI) -- The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department arrested on Monday, July 14th a suspect who is believed to be responsible for several recent burglaries.

According to officials, a search warrant was conducted on a residence in the 300 block of Douglas Avenue in the City of Waukesha. During that time, officials discovered the majority of the items taken in the burglaries -- including the stolen guns.

The identity of the suspect will not be released at this time, but he is described as a male white, who is 17 years of age.

The burglaries were committed on the south side of the city, which included several occupied residences where homeowners were sleeping.

The investigation is continuing, but authorities believe that the suspect is responsible for at least five recent burglaries.

The suspect is expected to appear at Intake Court Wednesday, July 16th at 1:30 p.m. at the Waukesha County Court House.
