ALL watches, warnings cancelled, strong storms move out over Lake Michigan
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The National Weather Service issued a TORNADO WARNING for Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties at 8:00 p.m. Thursday -- to be in effect through 8:30 p.m. Shortly before 9:00 p.m., ALL watches and warnings in effect were CANCELLED by the National Weather Service.
A Tornado Watch and Severe Thunderstorm Watch were issued for portions of southeastern Wisconsin on Thursday -- but those were cancelled early.
A Flood Warning was issued for Milwaukee and Ozaukee counties earlier Thursday. Flooding was the main threat Thursday morning and early afternoon as rain continued to fall throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
The National Weather Service says the Milwaukee River was at 7.0 feet at 11:15 a.m. Thursday. Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
The Flood Warning will remain in effect until the river falls below flood stage.
