All EB/WB lanes on I-94 near WIS 16 reopen following crash

WAUKESHA CO. (WITI) -- All westbound and eastbound lanes on I-94 near WIS 16 were closed Thursday morning, November 7th following a serious crash.

According to Waukesha County officials, a pickup truck ran into the back of a semi that was pulling into traffic around 5:30 a.m. The crash caused the pickup truck to catch on fire.

When a Sheriff's Deputy arrived on the scene, they were able to put out the fire and rescue the 31-year-old female driver of the pickup truck.

The woman was transported to the hospital by Flight for Life with serious injuries.

The semi driver was not hurt.
