WAUKESHA COUNTY (WITI) -- Dozens of first responders converged in Waukesha County to help find a missing two-year-old boy in the Town of Genesee. Two-year-old Jackson Hill was found safe, and just in time.

In rural Waukesha County, near Genesee, the search was on on Friday, March 27th.

At around 2 p.m., parents of Jackson say he went missing after playing in the backyard of his home on Morris Road. For hours, firefighters, EMT and deputies searched as neighbors lent a helping hand.

"I thought, if this was my kid I would want a whole bunch of people coming and helping me," said Danielle Glowacki, neighbor.

Just as the sun was going down, a quarter mile away from the boy's house -- Jackson was found around 7:30 p.m. near a quarry.

"A good ending, absolutely a good ending," said Jim Moon, Wales-Genesee Fire Chief.

Although very cold, he is still alive. Authorities are assessing him for other injuries.

A Flight for Life helicopter was called to the scene to help search for Jackson. There was also a dive team on scene to search the quarry that Jackson was located near.

Authorities say the child wandered off and may have gotten lost. However, deputies are still trying to determine exactly what caused the child to go missing.
