MILWAUKEE -- Police are investigating a homicide that occurred on Tuesday evening, September 22nd.

It happened near 22nd and Wisconsin Avenue -- near the Marquette University campus.

Police say a 52-year-old man was stabbed during some type of altercation. At this point, police believe the suspect was known to the victim.

The victim died at the scene, despite the efforts of the Milwaukee Fire Department.

Police say a  40-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 20-year-old Milwaukee man have been arrested.

MPD continues its investigation.
