3 dead in 4 shootings after violent night in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Three people are dead, two more are shot, after a violent night in Milwaukee.  The first shooting occurred just after 5 o'clock Friday, October 20th 2012 at 19th and Capitol Drive.  Police say a 25-year-old was shot after a vehicle pulled up next to him and opened fire.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is recovering.

At nearly the same time, an 18-year-old was killed near 29th and Burleigh after police say he got into a shoot out with a man he was trying to rob.  Friends say the other man was hit in the arm, and taken to a hospital.

Just before midnight a 38-year-old man was killed after police say a gunman walked up to him at a gas station at 32nd and Fond Du Lac Avenue and fired several shots.

Three hours later at about 3am,  the third homicide of the night occurred at 1st and West Randolph.  Police say a man was shot once in his torso and died.
