21-year-old man shot, injured near 40th & Townsend while sitting in stolen vehicle

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday night, June 23rd.

It happened near N. 40th and W. Townsend around 9:25 p.m.

Police say a  21-year-old man was shot while seated in a parked stolen vehicle.  A 22-year-old man also seated inside vehicle at the time the shots were fired was injured as a result of shattered glass.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries and later arrested.

The motive is unknown and there are no suspects in custody at this time.
