2 families displaced by fire at duplex near 12th and Center; firefighter burned

MILWAUKEE -- Two families were displaced by fire at a home near 12th and Center in Milwaukee Monday, Oct. 8, according to the American Red Cross.

Red Cross officials said the duplex was heavily damaged.

Seven people were displaced, and Milwaukee Fire Department officials said one firefighter was burned. He was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
