1st ever Cheese Curd-Eating Champion crowned at Wisconsin State Fair

WEST ALLIS -- The world’s top competitive eaters gathered in Wisconsin for the inaugural Cheese Curd-Eating Championship on Saturday, Aug. 11.

The competition took place at the Associated Bank Amphitheater at the Wisconsin State Fair.


The #8 ranked top eater, Darron Breeden from Orange, VA, was crowned the first ever World Cheese Curd-Eating Champion. Breeden downed five pounds and two ounces of cheese curds in just six minutes.

Other top eaters in the competition included the #1-ranked Joey Chestnut from Vallejo, CA, the #6-ranked Gideon Oji from Morrow, GA, the #40-ranked Matthew Raible from Edwards, IL and the #45-ranked Andrew Kogutkiewicz from Racine.
