Drivers take note: Upcoming construction on Hale & Zoo Interchange may impact commute

Construction is really picking up, with changes coming to the Hale and Zoo Interchange. Ryan Luck with the DOT joins FOX6 WakeUp with the details.

Zoo Interchange Project:

Friday night (11/7) - Overnight full closure of I-94 East and West from 68th to the Zoo Interchange for demolition of the 73rd Street pedestrian Bridge

Monday night (11/10) Overnight full closure of US 45 North and South from North Avenue to the Zoo Interchange to switch traffic on to the new Southbound lanes.

Hale Interchange:

Friday (11/14) The WIS 100 Entrance ramp to I-43 North will open and the lane restrictions on Ramp to I-43 North will be removed. By early the week of 11/17 he Southbound 894 ramp to I-43 South and the I-43 South exit to WIS 100 will open.

Tip of the week:

Watertown Plank Road and the remaining ramps will be opening in the next week and a half. Start planning your route to include the use of these ramps and Watertown Plank Road again.
