UWGB Phoenix rise, then fall, to Kentucky in NCAA Tourney

AMES, IOWA -- Keyla Snowden hit a jumper and two free throws in the final 18 seconds, and second-seeded Kentucky held off a furious second-half comeback to defeat the UW-Green Bay Phoenix in the second round of the NCAA women's tournament Monday night.

The Wildcats opened the game on a 21-6 run, then rallied after Green Bay erased a 17 point deficit and took a 62-61 lead with 1:57 left.

Julie Wojta and Sarah Eichler each scored 16 points for Green Bay, which forced 34 turnovers.

The Phoenix finished off a fine season at 31-2.  Kentucky moves on to the round of sixteen.
