Thomas shines in Marquette's 81-72 win over Xavier

MILWAUKEE (WITI)-- Junior Forward Jake Thomas hit 6 3-pointers and finished with 18 points against Xavier, leading the Golden Eagles to the 81-72 win over the Musketeers.

Marquette lead 39-29 at the half.

Steve Taylor was the only other Golden Eagle to hit a 3.  Jamil Wilson and Davante Gardner each chipped in 16 points.

MU is now on a 3 game winning streak for the first time this season and are now tied with Xaiver for 3rd place in the Big East.  Both schools are 7-5 in conference.
