Rallies held for WFB Dominican, Germantown basketball teams

WHITEFISH BAY/GERMANTOWN -- Tuesday, March 20th was a memorable day in the local high school hoops scene. There was a raucous pep rally at Whitefish Bay Dominican to honor the squad that won the Division 4 state championship over the weekend. Then, standout junior guard Duane Wilson made a verbal commitment to play in college at Marquette.

With freshman Diamond Stone still growing into a top talent, chances are the Knights could have this sort of day again in the near future.

Not to be outdone, Germantown also hosted a pep rally to honor coach Steve Showalter and his undefeated Division 1 champions.  While high-scoring Zak Showalter will be off to the Badgers next season, Indiana recruit Luke Fischer will headline a strong returning crew, so the Warhawks won't be devoid of talent next year, either.
