Packers without Cobb, Cook, Lacy, Matthews, Montgomery, Randall, Rollins, Shields, Starks vs. Falcons



ATLANTA -- The Green Bay Packers will be without EIGHT players for Sunday's matchup vs. the Atlanta Falcons.





Sources tell ESPN Cobb is out with a hamstring injury, and Montgomery is out with "an illness."



The Packers will also be without running back Eddie Lacy, cornerback Sam Shields, cornerback Quinten Rollins and cornerback Damarious Randall.

Shields is on injured reserve because of a concussion. Randall and Rollins have groin injuries.

Lacy was placed on injured reservedue to an ankle injury that required surgery.

Additionally, tight end Jared Cook is out with a right ankle injury, outside linebacker Clay Matthews is out with a hamstring injury, and running back James Starks is out with a knee injury.

Starting lineup changes: 17 WR Davante Adams will start in place of Cobb, 82 TE Richard Rodgers will start in place of Cook, 34 RB Don Jackson will start in place of Starks, 56 LB Julius Peppers will start in place of Matthews, 39 CB Demetri Goodson will start in place of Randall and 36 CB LaDarius Gunter will start in place of Rollins.

The Packers signed running back Don Jackson to the active roster from the practice squad when Lacy was placed on injured reserve.

The Packers signed receiver Geronimo Allison and safety Jermaine Whitehead from the practice squad to replace receiver Jared Abbrederis and safety Chris Banjo (hamstring).

Abbrederis was waived by the Packers after being placed on injured reserve.



Allison played relatively well for the Packers in the preseason. He is an undrafted free agent from Illinois.

Whitehead adds depth to the Packers' secondary.

Green Bay also added receiver Dez Stewart to the practice squad.
