Packers TE Brandon Bostick announces on Twitter he's been released from the team

GREEN BAY(WITI) -- Green Bay Packers tight end Brandon Bostick announced on Twitter on Monday, February 16th he has been released by the team.

Bostick posted the following message on Twitter on Monday afternoon:

Bostick is the player who botched the onside kick against the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game -- a play that allowed Seattle to take the lead late in the game.

The Packers fell to the Seahawks in that game, 28-22. The Packers season was over, and the Seahawks were headed to the Super Bowl.

The Seahawks lost Super Bowl XLIX to the New England Patriots 28-24.
