Miserable May continues, Brewers lose 6-3
MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers continue to spiral downward in the month of May, dropping to 5 and 19 since April after losing to the Twins Memorial Day afternoon, 6-3. Wily Peralta took the defeat after allowing four runs in only five innings of work and needed 108 pitches to get that far.
For the second time in a matter of days, Carlos Gomez had two homers in the game, his ninth and tenth of the season. Jean Segura also contributed a pair of hits, but the Crew continues to come up short in potential run scoring situations.
Alfredo Figaro will make a spot start in the finale of the short two-game series on Tuesday night. Minnesota will then host Milwaukee Wednesday and Thursday evenings as their interleague matchup continues.
