Milwaukee Bucks kick off season with first ever Fan Fest
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Bucks held their inaugural Fan Fest on Saturday, October 5th at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee. The free event gave fans a chance to interact with current players, coaches and broadcasters.
John Steinmiller, Milwaukee Bucks Vice President, says along with the interactive games and experiences, the event's autograph session offers fans a chance to get familiar with their team.
"We've got to get our fans ready for the season. We've got a new team, we've got a new playing floor, we've got a lot of exciting things happening. Let's get introduced early in a very impactful way," said Steinmiller. "We've got a full day of 'fan training camp.'"
"I think it's cool," said 9-year-old Edward Hodges. "Because all my Bucks fans are here!"
Fans were also able to purchase season tickets during the event through Select-a-Seat, which highlights all available seats in the lower bowl of the arena for the upcoming season.
Immediately following Fan Fest, the Bucks held their annual Open Practice, giving a rare glimpse into the inner workings of an NBA team.
The Bucks' first preseason home game is Saturday, October 12th at 7:30 p.m. They take on the Charlotte Bobcats.
