Marquette keeps its season alive

NEW YORK CITY -- For the first time since calendar 2014, Marquette is on a winning streak.  The Golden Eagles rolled past Seton Hall in an opening round Big East Tournament game Wednesday night, 78-56.  That victory followed a win over DePaul Saturday afternoon in MU's regular season finale.

Matt Carlino tied a Big East Tournament record with 8 three pointers made on his way to 26 points.

The Golden Eagles advance to a quarterfinal matchup with top seed Villanova at midday Thursday.
