Marquette fall to Irish in Big East tourney, 73-65
NEW YORK (WITI) -- The Marquette Golden Eagles were ousted from the Big East tournament on Thursday, March 14th after falling to the Notre Dame Irish, 73-65, at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Marquette took an early lead in the game. But by halftime, the Irish were up 29-25.
As the game wound down, the Golden Eagles just weren't able to make the hoops they needed.
Jamil Wilson hit 7 for 15 in the field. Vander Blue was 5 for 12. Junior Cadougan drained 6 of his 9 shots.
