Mark Murphy calls this year's Packers playoff policy a mistake
GREEN BAY (WITI) -- Green Bay Packers CEO Mark Murphy is calling this year's playoff policy a mistake.
The team had a hard time selling out their final game against the San Francisco 49ers, and the game could have been blacked out in some areas of the state.
Sponsors, including FOX6 News stepped up and purchased the remaining tickets, and there was no blackout.
Now, Murphy says the team sent out a survey to ticket holders, and one of the biggest requests was for a "pay as we play" policy.
This year, any money Packers fans spent on playoff tickets would have gone toward next year's purchase, instead of being refunded -- and that didn't go over well with the fans.
