Jason Day takes the lead into final round of PGA Championship

SHEBOYGAN, Wis.  — The Latest from the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits -- day three.

Jason Day shot 6-under 66 on Saturday to take a two-shot lead over Jordan Spieth into the final round of the PGA Championship.

Day got the first of his nine top-10 major finishes at Whistling Straits five years ago, and will try to wrap up his first major on the same course Sunday.

After a slow start to his round, Spieth made six birdies over his last eight holes to shoot 65 and earn a spot in Sunday's final twosome.

Another shot back is Branden Grace, who holed out from a bunker on 18 for birdie to cap a best-of-the-day 64. Also at 12 under is and Justin Rose, who shot 68.

Martin Kaymer, who won the PGA at Whistling Straits in 2010, is at 11 under, with Tony Finau and Matt Jones another shot behind.
