Hundreds wait in cold for Brewers tickets at Arctic Tailgate

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- They've waited in the cold, wind and snow for days, but it's finally over.

Fans got their hands on coveted opening day tickets.  Many started lining up outside of Miller Park Thursday morning.

"Opening day is my favorite holiday of the year," fan Jaycen Bardega said.

Bardega was the first in line.  He lined up Wednesday night.

"I've been a big Brewers fan since day one.  I've been going to opening day forever," he said. "I'm never going to miss it."

It is a tradition for hundreds of people.

"It's great, you get to know people and you remember them from year to year," fan Michael Kling said. "It's like family almost."

With tickets in hand, a new wait begins.  The wait to hear 'play ball.'

Opening day is April 1st.  The Brewers take on the Rockies.
