Home runs push Mets past Brewers, 6-2

NEW YORK CITY -- The season-long struggles of Brewers pitcher Marco Estrada with the long ball came into play again on Tuesday night in the Big Apple.  The Mets got a two-run homer from Daniel Murphy and a grand slam from Taylor Teagarden in beating the Brewers, 6-2.  Teagarden was playing in his first game of the season for the Mets.

Lyle Overbay had a pair of hits for Milwaukee, including a run-scoring double.  Carlos Gomez had the other rbi.

New York, which had lost six games in row coming into this series, hosts Milwaukee again on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
