Golden Eagles clawed by Cincinnati Bearcats
CINCINNATI -- The Marquette Golden Eagles took that lofty ranking (7th and 8th in the national polls) to Cincinnati on Wednesday night and came crashing down to earth, 72-61; the final score wasn't nearly that close. The comeback kids had no comeback against the Bearcats, who outplayed MU in every facet of the game.
JaQuon Parker had a career-high 28 points; Darius Johnson-Odom scored 18 for Marquette (24-6, 13-4 in the Big East). Jae Crowder pitched in with 17 points, 12 rebounds.
The Golden Eagles close out the regular season on Saturday afternoon, when Georgetown invades the Bradley Center.
