Family assists Ellis in win over Hawks
MILWAUKEE -- Monta Ellis got a boost from seeing his family and gave the Bucks a shot in the arm by scoring 33 points in Milwaukee's 108-101 win over Atlanta, Tuesday night in the Bradley Center.
Ellis, acquired in the Andrew Bogut trade with Golden State, managed just 4 points in Monday night's loss at New York. But he sparked the hosts to a 17 point lead over the Hawks in the 2nd quarter. When Atlanta came back to take a slim lead, the shooting guard exploded for 17 fourth quarter points.
Milwaukee is now 19-5 when scoring 100 points or more. The victory came without Ersan Ilyasova, who was nursing an injured back, and Carlos Delfino, who has a strained groin.
