Excitement in Seattle: Seahawks fans already in line for playoff tickets, hotels filling up fast!

SEATTLE (WITI) -- The Green Bay Packers face the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship matchup Sunday, January 18th -- and in Seattle Monday, January 12th, fans were already lining up for tickets!

FOX6's sister station KCPQ in Seattle reports according to the Seahawks, 98% of season ticket holders have reserved their playoff tickets.

On Monday, a lottery was be held for those on the waiting list.

Tuesday, the general public will get their chance to purchase tickets -- but there will be only a limited number available -- probably around 1,200, according to KCPQ.

That's why some are already in line -- hoping they'll be in the crowd at CenturyLink Field on Sunday.

"I've gone online before and it's really hard to get tickets, so I thought I'd come here and see how many people were in line," Jim Borda, the first person in line told KCPQ.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Meanwhile, hotels in the Seattle area are already filling up for next weekend.

"The phones started ringing immediately. (Fans) should not wait. They should go ahead and book immediately," Antoine Anderson, who works at a Best Western Plus in Pioneer Square told KCPQ.

That hotel is already at 70% occupancy for next weekend, KCPQ reports.

Kickoff for Sunday's game is set for 2:00 p.m. You'll see the Packers take on the Seahawks ONLY ON FOX6!
