Ellis buzz-beater helps Bucks ground Rockets

HOUSTON --  Monta Ellis' off-balance three-pointer at the buzzer lifted the Milwaukee Bucks over the Rockets on Wednesday night in Houston.

With the clock winding down and Brandon Jennings trapped; Ellis came to the ball and tossed in the first game-winning shot by a Bucks player as time expired since December 2010.

Ellis, who had been in a slump, had a magnificent night, stuffing the stat sheet with 27 points, 12 assists, 6 steals (12 in 2 games) and 6 rebounds as Milwaukee swept their Texas trip.

The win evened the Bucks record at 28-28 and strengthened their hold on the 8th and last playoff spot in the eastern conference.
